The Wichita Force headed down Amarillo, Texas to take on the conference rival the Amarillo Venom. The Force came off from their bye week looking for a victory down in the Lone Star state. The team had player standouts on all sides of the ball including offense, defense, and special teams.
Jalen Sykes led the team with 87 all-purpose yards, including 47 yards rushing and 35 yards receiving. Sykes was also able to capture himself another 2 touchdowns on the season. The star-studded rookie has been playing lights outs for the Wichita Force for the beginning half of the season. Even with the stellar performance of 8 tackles from Clint Barley on the defensive side of the ball, the Wichita Force fell to the Amarillo Venom 55-31.
The Wichita Force is looking forward to returning home to INTRUST Bank Arena on May 5th, where the team will take on another conference rival the Duke City Gladiators. Make sure to come cheer on the Force as we celebrate Cinco de Mayo for the return of the Wichita Force football team.
